The Veterans Memorial Highland Games were established in March 2004 with a mission to promote public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of Scottish
and military heritage, highlighting the strong ties between these two important elements of Canadian history in an annual event that honours veterans and those who have fallen in combat.
